Born in Oslo, now working from New York, Maren Cole has spent two decades chasing light in the spaces between moments. Her work lives in the quiet pause before expression — the breath before laughter, the stillness after grief.

Published in Vogue, Aperture, and The New Yorker, her photographs have been exhibited across Europe and North America. She shoots on medium format film and digital, always in pursuit of something true.
